Your tariff covers a variety of calls:
- Outgoing calls/SMS within Germany to all landline and mobile numbers.
- Outgoing calls/SMS to Germany and other EU countries when you're roaming in the EU.
- All incoming calls, except for calls to special numbers or forwarded calls, which are charged separately.
If you only use calls and SMS and your monthly internet usage stays under 250 MB, your plan will cost just €1.99 per month.
However, if you use more than 250 MB of internet data, your monthly bill will depend on the amount of data you’ve used, according to our pricing.
Not quite — calls from Germany to other EU countries are billed based on standard international calling rates.
Yes, there are. According to NAKED mobile's Excessive Usage Policy, in order to ensure a high-quality experience for all users and protect against automated activity, exceeding 3,000 minutes/SMS per month may result in contract termination without prior notice. The contract can be terminated within 24 hours from the moment the violation is detected.
The 3,000 minutes and/or SMS include national calls and texts to both mobile and landline numbers, as well as calls/SMS from EU countries to other EU countries.
3,000 minutes is a very generous amount — it allows for nearly 2 hours of calls every day throughout the month. Especially considering that nowadays we often use messaging apps and the internet to stay in touch.
You'll receive a warning in your Personal Account once you reach 2,800 minutes and/or SMS. We'll also send you an SMS notification letting you know we’ve detected high usage and asking you to limit your consumption.
Calls to countries outside the EU aren’t included in your tariff and are charged according to international rates, which you can check here. Keep in mind, international calls are billed per minute — so if you talk for 5 minutes and 10 seconds, you'll be charged for 6 minutes.
The cost of sending an SMS depends on the destination country:
€0.07 per SMS — when sending to numbers in European countries, including:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, French Guiana, French West Indies (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion), Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Madeira and the Azores), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
€0.29 per SMS — when sending to numbers in other countries worldwide.
A standard SMS contains up to 160 characters (in Latin encoding).
If non-standard characters are used (such as Cyrillic, emojis, or special symbols), the limit is up to 70 characters.
Longer messages are automatically split into segments and billed based on the number of segments.
If you're traveling within the EU, the “Roam like at Home” rules apply — calls, SMS, and internet are included in your tariff, just like at home.
Outside the EU, services are billed according to international roaming rates, which you can see here. To help manage your costs abroad, you can also activate additional options in your personal account before you travel.
If you make a 10-second call and don’t use any other services during the month, it won’t be considered the zero price level and will cost €1.99.
Keep in mind, any incoming or outgoing call, no matter how short, means your tariff isn’t at the zero level. This applies to calls included in your tariff but doesn’t cover international calls, which are charged based on international rates.
Your monthly bill will be just €1.99.
In that case, it’ll be €1.99 — this covers calls included in your tariff but doesn’t include international calls, which are billed separately according to international rates.
Since this is an international call, it’s not included in your tariff and will be charged according to international calling rates.
If you’re in the EU, calls, SMS, and internet are included in your tariff, so this call will be free for you.
If you happen to go over 3,000 minutes for calls and SMS to landlines and mobiles in Germany, or for calls and messages within the EU during a month, we'll have to end your service contract without prior notice. This could happen within 24 hours after we notice the limit has been exceeded.
3,000 minutes is quite a lot — that's almost 2 hours of voice calls every day for the entire month. Keep in mind, in today’s world, we’re all about messaging apps and internet chatting to stay connected.
We’ll make sure to let you know in your personal account when you hit 2,800 minutes or SMS. Plus, if your data usage gets high, you’ll get an SMS from us asking you to keep an eye on it. We’re here to help you stay connected without surprises!
