Wi-Fi calling lets you make phone calls using a Wi-Fi connection, which can give you clearer call quality, especially in places where mobile signal is weak or unavailable. If your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically connect to our network for calls.
To use Wi-Fi calling, you'll need a smartphone that supports Wi-Fi calls, a stable Wi-Fi connection and a tariff that includes Wi-Fi Calling.
Please keep in mind that right now, Wi-Fi calls are only available within the Germany's Wi-Fi network. When you're abroad, your phone will use the mobile network for calls as usual.
Turning on "Enable Wi-Fi Calls" allows your phone to make calls over Wi-Fi instead of the mobile network whenever you're connected to Wi-Fi. If you don’t enable it, your phone will use the regular mobile network for calls.

Yes! Your call data is encrypted during Wi-Fi Calls, so your conversations are protected even on public or unsecured networks. Just a quick note: for safety reasons, emergency calls can't be made via Wi-Fi at this time.
