What are Wi-Fi calls?

Wi-Fi calling lets you make phone calls using a Wi-Fi connection, which can give you clearer call quality, especially in places where mobile signal is weak or unavailable. If your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically connect to our network for calls.

To use Wi-Fi calling, you'll need a smartphone that supports Wi-Fi calls, a stable Wi-Fi connection and a tariff that includes Wi-Fi Calling.

Please keep in mind that right now, Wi-Fi calls are only available within the Germany's Wi-Fi network. When you're abroad, your phone will use the mobile network for calls as usual.

What does "Enable Wi-Fi calls" mean?

Turning on "Enable Wi-Fi Calls" allows your phone to make calls over Wi-Fi instead of the mobile network whenever you're connected to Wi-Fi. If you don’t enable it, your phone will use the regular mobile network for calls.

How much do Wi-Fi calls cost?

Wi-Fi calls are free and included in your tariff! Just a quick note: currently, you can only make Wi-Fi calls within Germany’s Wi-Fi network. When you're outside Germany, your phone will switch to the mobile network for calls as usual.
