We’ve made identity verification as simple and user-friendly as possible — with no unnecessary steps. Instead of traditional video calls, we use a more convenient and secure method: document scanning combined with a current photo.
Once your identity is successfully verified, you’ll be able to activate your eSIM. The verification process typically takes no more than 3 minutes. And if anything goes wrong, don’t worry — you’ll have the option to try again.
Relax, it's pretty easy:
- First off, get a device with internet access — like a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone
- You'd also need a camera
- Stable internet connection would come handy
- Finally, a valid ID document, such as an ID card or passport
To successfully complete identity verification, you’ll need to provide a valid and undamaged passport or national ID card.

To ensure successful verification, we recommend using a German IBAN or bank card along with any German passport or ID card, or an ID card from one of the accepted countries.
- If you're using a passport for verification: Make sure that the country of your IBAN or bank card matches the country stated in your identity document — or simply use a German IBAN or bank card.
- If you're using an ID card for verification: When paying by bank card, your ID card must be linked to a German bank card.
When paying via IBAN, please ensure that the IBAN country matches the country on your ID card, or use a German IBAN.
By following these recommendations, you'll make the verification process smooth and successful!
