When you arrive in a new country, your phone will automatically connect to the best available network through our partner Vodafone. No extra steps are needed to turn on roaming — simply restart your device upon arrival.
To access the internet, ensure that Data Roaming is enabled in your device settings. Upon connecting to a guest network, you will receive a welcome message detailing the costs associated with your stay abroad, including any potential additional charges. The message will also provide information about free emergency calls (112), essential communication methods, and any specific services that may incur fees.
"Roam Like at Home" allows you to incur the same costs when traveling within the EU as you do at home. While in any "Roam Like at Home" country, you can make calls and browse the internet with your mobile line charged just as it would be in Germany — without any extra roaming fees. Note, the following countries are not included in this agreement: Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and Switzerland are located in Europe. Data roaming is when you use your mobile data outside of Germany. When abroad (and not on Wi-Fi), you need to activate data roaming to send messages, use Google Maps, post on social media, or perform any data-dependent activity.
While data roaming is available in most countries, some networks may charge higher fees. We recommend being cautious: if roaming isn't included in your plan, use it sparingly to avoid unexpected costs.
Good news: While traveling in "Roam Like at Home" countries, your internet traffic is included in your domestic tariff plan, so you can browse, stream, and connect without additional charges.

Not at all! Since you are on a post-paid plan, you don't need to pay in advance. All costs will be added to your invoice at the beginning of next month, even if you purchase a roaming bundle. To protect you from high costs, we will automatically block data usage once you reach the €50 net (€59.50 gross) limit.

Yes, calls and SMS to special numbers, premium-rate numbers, and call forwarding will incur charges. The rates vary depending on the destination and can be quite high. For detailed pricing, please refer to the NAKED price list.
You can definitely use 5G in Germany without issue. However when roaming internationally, access to 5G depends on several factors, including:
- the country you're visiting
- the region within that country
- local network support for 5G
