Slovenia, officially the Republic of Slovenia, is a country in Central Europe. It is bordered by Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia to the southeast, and has a small coastline along the Adriatic Sea.
With a population of around 2.1 million, Slovenia is famous for its pristine nature, beautiful lakes, mountains, and caves. The country has a diverse landscape from the Julian Alps in the north to the Mediterranean coast in the southwest.
Slovenia is a member of the European Union, NATO, and other major international organizations. Its capital, Ljubljana, is known for its charming old town, green spaces, and vibrant cultural scene.
